The Vice President of Retail Sales will lead and scale a national sales organization focused on direct originations and investor relationships. This executive will be responsible for driving geographic expansion, building high-performing teams, and executing strategies that increase market share, revenue, and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the company at industry events to build relationships and strengthen market presence
  • Own sales forecasting and budget planning
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team
  • Drive consistent achievement of aggressive production targets across product lines
  • Foster strong relationships with investors, brokers, and referral partners
  • Establish a results-driven culture with clear expectations and accountability
  • Develop and maintain sales playbooks to support product, pricing, and strategy execution
  • Monitor market positioning and identify opportunities to capture additional share
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality client engagement and service standards
  • Leverage marketing tools, campaigns, and digital channels to expand reach
  • Partner cross-functionally on lead generation, conversion, and pipeline management
  • Define market and product positioning to strengthen competitive advantage
  • Support ongoing training and coaching to elevate team performance

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of real estate finance sales leadership (RTL or small balance commercial preferred)
  • Strong communicator with proven relationship-building skills
  • Solid understanding of sales processes, transactions, and lending lifecycle
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics tools
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet targets
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and territory management skills
  • Data-driven with ability to support prospecting and lead generation
  • Proven success managing pipelines and exceeding sales goals
