The Head of Multifamily Credit will lead and scale the firm’s multifamily lending platform, overseeing both originations and credit strategy. This executive will drive institutional deal sourcing, strengthen key client relationships, and ensure disciplined execution across the full loan lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings deep private credit or non-bank lending experience, with a strong background in ground-up, institutional-quality multifamily construction financing. This hands-on leader will optimize team structure, enhance operational efficiency, and accelerate the growth of a multifamily bridge platform positioned for expansion.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale the multifamily lending platform, overseeing both originations and credit strategy.
  • Drive institutional deal sourcing and originate large-scale ground-up multifamily construction and bridge loans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, developers, brokers, and capital partners.
  • Manage underwriting and closing teams to ensure disciplined credit standards and efficient execution.
  • Evaluate and optimize team structure, processes, and KPIs to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with credit, capital markets, and transaction management to ensure seamless deal execution.
  • Deliver operational leverage to executive leadership while driving profitable portfolio growth.
  • Navigate a competitive bridge-to-perm landscape with disciplined risk management and return focus.

 

Qualifications

  • Significant experience within private credit, debt funds, or non-bank lending platforms.
  • Proven track record originating institutional multifamily construction loans, including ground-up projects exceeding $50MM+.
  • Experience leading both origination and credit/underwriting functions.
  • Deep understanding of construction risk, transitional assets, and multifamily development cycles.
  • Strong leadership experience managing underwriters, analysts, and closing professionals.
  • Established industry relationships and demonstrated ability to source large-scale opportunities.
  • Strategic, execution-oriented leader with the ability to scale teams and platforms in competitive markets.
  • Strong executive presence and cross-functional collaboration skills.
