This newly created leadership role is responsible for building and scaling comprehensive construction lending, renovation lending, and draw management platform from the ground up. The Construction Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of construction-related loan operations, including draws, escrows, builder approvals, and portfolio management across a high-volume pipeline.

This is a highly visible opportunity for a hands-on leader to design processes, implement best practices, and drive operational excellence in a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the construction lending and draw management function from inception
  • Oversee a pipeline of approximately 200–3,000 construction and renovation loans
  • Manage escrow administration, draw processes, and disbursement workflows
  • Establish and refine builder approval processes and vendor management standards
  • Develop scalable policies, procedures, and controls to support portfolio growth
  • Partner cross-functionally with underwriting, credit, and servicing teams
  • Identify operational risks and implement solutions to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Leverage technology and systems to streamline workflows and enhance borrower experience
  • Hire, train, and mentor future team members as the function scales

 

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of experience in construction lending, draw administration, or related mortgage operations
  • Strong understanding of construction loans, renovation lending, escrows, and disbursement processes
  • Experience managing high-volume loan pipelines and complex workflows
  • Proven ability to build processes and infrastructure in a growing environment
  • Operational mindset with strong attention to detail and risk management
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Experience with draw management systems (e.g., Built, Land Gorilla) preferred
