The Head of Sales will play a critical role in building, scaling, and leading a national sales organization. This executive will be responsible for transforming a lean sales function into a high-performing, scalable production team capable of driving significant volume growth. Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, this leader will partner closely with credit, underwriting, capital markets, and operations to ensure alignment, remove obstacles, and deliver consistent execution.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, recruit, and scale a national sales organization, including Loan Officers and future sales leadership
  • Directly manage and mentor current sales team members while onboarding and developing new hires
  • Drive national loan production with a long-term goal of scaling portfolio volume from approximately $100MM to $500MM–$1B
  • Establish, track, and manage KPIs to ensure consistent performance and accountability
  • Oversee CRM usage, pipeline management, and reporting across the sales organization
  • Partner with underwriting, credit, operations, and capital markets to ensure efficient execution and fast turn times
  • Remove obstacles for producers and ensure sales teams are fully enabled to perform
  • Provide input into compensation plan design, including commission structures and incentive alignment
  • Leverage strong inbound broker traffic and brand presence to maximize lead conversion and recruiting efforts

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading and scaling national or multi-regional sales teams within private lending, mortgage, or specialty finance
  • Background as a regional or national sales manager with hands-on exposure to origination, underwriting, credit, and capital markets
  • Demonstrated success recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing sales talent
  • Deep understanding of RTL bridge lending, DSCR, and non-QM products, including distressed and lower-FICO scenarios
  • Experience operating in nationwide lending environments, particularly high-volume markets
  • Familiarity with securitization strategies and deploying bridge capital at scale
  • Strong operational mindset with the ability to balance speed, credit discipline, and growth
