The Vice President, Capital Markets will serve as a senior leader within the organization, responsible for managing and optimizing activities across whole loan transactions, portfolio management, securitization, and analytics initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a capital markets professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and seeks to play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth and capital strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute loan purchase and sale transactions (whole loan and bulk), ensuring smooth flow between trading, finance, and counterparties.
  • Partner with senior management to structure and execute securitizations, SMAs, and portfolio allocation projects.
  • Lead quarterly pricing, loan performance reviews, and model calibration for credit and prepayment analytics.
  • Collaborate with the trading desk on pipeline management and hedging optimization.
  • Serve as a bridge between Capital Markets, Credit, and Technology teams to enhance pricing tools, analytical models, and data workflows.
  • Drive infrastructure buildout, automation, and systems integration (e.g., Intex wrapper, Python/VBA-based analytics).

 

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field required, Master’s preferred.
  • 7+ years in Capital Markets, preferably within mortgage banking, non-QM, or whole loan trading environments
  • Demonstrated background in transaction management, pricing, and securitization processes.
  • Strong technical orientation with experience building or working alongside credit/prepay model development and analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with Python, SQL, VBA, or similar scripting languages a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in a high-growth environment.
