The Executive Director of Institutional Sales will drive growth in the firm’s residential transitional loan platform by cultivating and managing relationships with institutional investors and mortgage partners nationwide. This individual will manage key client accounts/relationships, identify new loan sourcing opportunities, and collaborate with Senior leadership to design loan products that meet evolving market and investor needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage institutional investor and origination relationships to support nationwide residential transitional loan sourcing and provide other capital solutions.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate loan acquisition and other capital solution opportunities across bridge, fix & flip, construction, and RTL/DSCR products.
  • Develop a robust pipeline of new origination partners, including non-bank lenders, mortgage companies, and private capital platforms.
  • Partner with investment, underwriting, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution from origination through closing.
  • Assist in the creation of new residential transitional loan products designed to meet client and investor objectives.
  • Provide market insights on credit trends, pricing, and competitor activity to inform product development and portfolio strategy.
  • Represent the firm in industry conferences, investor meetings, and relationship-building events to enhance visibility and partnerships.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with institutional clients to ensure transparency, alignment, and long-term engagement.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field required; MBA or advanced certification preferred.
  • 8–12 years of experience in institutional sales, capital markets, or mortgage finance with a focus on residential transitional lending.
  • Proven ability to source, evaluate, and structure loan acquisition opportunities across the firm’s product suite
  • Established relationships and track record of execution with mortgage originators, institutional investors, and specialty finance firms
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing sourcing and distribution strategies across multiple counterparties
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior decision-makers
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on leader with a strategic mindset and focus on execution and growth
